Can’t find Someday in the Calendar?

For many many years I used to sit in my office dreaming of ‘someday’ … Yow know that magical date in the calendar when it will happen!

Know matter how hard I searched I couldn’t find ‘someday’ in the calendar. I found every day of the week expect that one. Sitting in the grey office day after day, with the computer humming and the fans whirring on a hot day…. with the computer humming and the radiator behind me gurgling on a cold day.

It never changed. I didn’t a ground hog day, week month. I lived a ground hog life.. Happy New Year .. Happy Easter.. errm Happy Christmas so soon?

Every January I joined the collective groan and counted how weeks until Easter. Worked out when the bank holidays were and highlighted them on the desk calendar.

But what did I do to change this situation .. not a lot.. just kept on day dreaming.

Then I was handed Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and boom my head literally exploded with possibilities. For the first time in year I had a thirst for knowledge and hunger. I read book after book. And I searched for a way out.

For us the obvious was property. It was 2005/6 it was the boom years. Any idiot could make money in property and they did. Cheap money and easy lending gave some people a false sense of invincibility. But that all changed in 2007/8 with the credit crunch. We had gone out there and started networking at this point. And because of the fabulous people we met through networking .. Glenn Armstrong, Simon Zutshi , Rob Moore and Makr homer etc. We were able to navigate the recession and still succeed in property.

Do I still dream of someday. A little but now I put it down as a goal and make it a date I am going to do something.

There is a quote I love from the Master Oogway in Kung Fu Panda.. “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present”

Forget someday live and enjoy the present.
